For international tennis hall project UPB provided both – the design and the construction or known as Design&Build principle. It ensures more even flow of work, faster completion, and lower costs. In this case – 13th months from agreement until completion. This is a great example of the synergy between UPB Group companies as all of them were involved in the project, providing design, general construction, engineering network construction, structural design, production (glass, steel, concrete), assembly and equipment provision.
As a result, we have built an international tournaments worthy tennis hall in Latvia, covering an area of almost 6,000 m2 with 5 indoor courts and an administrative building, 4 open tennis courts and 6 beach tennis or beach volleyball courts on the 15,300 m2 wide area.
